I’m excited about the new resources from Striving Together Publications. It is a privilege to partner with pastors and churches around the world in making biblical and Christ-honoring resources for Christian growth available.

We’ve had several new resources released over the past few weeks, and I just wanted to take a moment to briefly highlight some of them. You can click on each title below for more information.

In Desert Places—This is my newest book, and it highlights the wonders God performs in unlikely places with unlikely people. Drawing from Bible accounts of what God did in desert places as well as the true stories of God’s miraculous work in lives in our desert here at Lancaster Baptist Church, this book encourages us to remember the greatness of God’s grace.

The Choice is Yours—I’m thankful Terrie has written this book for ladies, encouraging them to live with purpose and joy as they cultivate a walk with God. It will be encouraging and helpful for every Christian lady of any age and any level of Christian maturity. (And if my experience is an indicator, it’s a great read for pastors as well!)

Try Me—Our son, Larry, shares in this minibook truths he has learned from James 1 about God’s goodness in trials. Drawing from his own battle with cancer, he encourages readers to find unexpected joy during unexpected difficulties.

Off-Script—Cary Schmidt, an associate pastor at Lancaster Baptist Church, just completed treatment for the cancer diagnosis he received last fall. During the months of chemo, he wrote this book that shares ten truths to embrace when “when God rewrites your script.”

The Stories of Our Saviour Children’s Sunday School Curriculum—This new children’s curriculum features scripturally-sound lessons on the parables of Jesus that encourage children to make practical application today. Also available is a visual resource pack as well as  resource CD with activity pages, coloring sheets, craft patterns, and PowerPoint visuals.

Lessons from Legends—This adult or teen Sunday school curriculum by Dr. Mark Rasmussen pulls principles from the lives of some of the most prominent characters in Scripture. It challenges us to learn the best from their lives and see God work through us today.

Pictures and Promises—This pictorial devotion book brings you on a tour of the Holy Land with pictures taken by my son, Larry. Included are the biblical and historical significance of these Bible land places with an emphasis on claiming God’s promises for today.

Fourth Quarter—Dr. Don Sisk, a dear friend and godly mentor, shares principles for finishing your course with joy and making the last years of your life your most fruitful years.
