For over three decades as the pastor of Lancaster Baptist Church, I have had the joy of preaching verse by verse through books of the Bible.

Typically, these book studies have been our practice on Sunday evening, but a few years ago, I sensed the Holy Spirit leading me to do a verse-by-verse message series from the Gospel of Luke on Sunday mornings. This study, which we titled “Journey with Jesus” and lasted for two years, is one that even today our church family looks back on as a time of growth and deepening in their walk with Christ.

These messages are now available in book form as a resource for pastors, teachers, and any Christian who wants to study God’s Word.

There are ninety-two messages in this six hundred-page volume with outlined sermon notes and comments covering the entire book of Luke. Each message provides an expanded outline with cross references, word studies, illustrations, comments, and specific applications. (Download a sample.)

I’m thrilled this is finally available in print as an addition to the Striving Together Study Library. I trust it will be a helpful resource for you—either for sermon preparation or as a personal study guide in your devotional time.

Please pray with me that the Lord will use this resource to encourage many to deepen their walk with Christ and continue forward on their journey with Jesus.

(Through May 11, 2018, Striving Together Publications is offering a free Disciple devotional book with the purchase of Luke: Journey with Jesus. I hope you’ll be able to take advantage of this offer.)
