As we approach Resurrection Sunday, I am thrilled for a number of reasons. I’m thankful, first of all, for a resurrected Saviour; I love celebrating His victory. And I especially love celebrating His victory by telling others about Him and the salvation He offers. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16), and it is validated by the empty tomb. Resurrection weekend provides a special opportunity to preach the Gospel to many who do not ordinarily attend church.
This year at Lancaster Baptist Church, we’re excited about two ways that we’re sharing the Gospel:
“The Choice”
This year, our choir and orchestra is presenting a musical titled “The Choice” on Saturday and Sunday evenings. This dramatic presentation views the crucifixion through the eyes of the Roman centurion, and it presents the Gospel as he chooses to place his faith in Christ.
At the conclusion of the musical, I will preach a Gospel message. Our church family has been diligently inviting visitors to the musical, and we’re eagerly and prayerfully anticipating seeing many of them choose to receive Christ as their Saviour.
New Livestream Minstry
This weekend, we’re also launching a new livestream ministry. In recent months we’ve acquired new equipment and training with HD quality video. We believe the new equipment will greatly enhance our livestream and provide quality video teaching and preaching for those who watch our services.
You can view the musical via livestream Saturday or Sunday evening at 6:00 Pacific Time. Please pray for these services that many would choose to trust Christ!
