Someone told me years ago that thinkfulness is thankfulness. It’s true, and I’ve never forgotten it.

When I pause to ponder the goodness of God, it brings thankfulness to my heart. When I ponder unfinished tasks and looming deadlines, gratitude escapes.

I encourage you today to give thanks to your everlastingly good God.

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.—Psalm 95:1–3

And know that out here in the high desert of Southern California there is a pastor who is thankful for you and your faithfulness to Christ, and who is praying that today you’ll know all the richest blessings of Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour.

Happy Thanksgiving!
