When Paul stood in the theater at Ephesus, he preached to a crowd who was steeped in the worship of the false goddess Diana. Yet, Paul’s ministry in that city was not in vain. Acts 19:17–18 records, “And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.” Many believed, and their lives were completely changed—turned from idolatry to the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is my prayer that through the ministries of Lancaster Baptist Church, the missionaries we support around the world, and other churches faithfully preaching the Gospel, thousands of people will turn from false religion and trust Christ as Saviour. May the Gospel continue to go forward in this needy day!

The video above is a greeting from Ephesus that we sent to be shown to our church family in yesterday’s evening service.
